I used to not believe in such things like fate and destiny, but ever since I met Shadow, it's impossible not to believe anymore. It's hard to say that you're an agnostic when you interact with a god on a regular basis and you use magic granted to you by said god. Now that all these coincidences are happening since I met Shadow – like the appearance of the sorcerer who destroyed Shadow's people – I cannot discount the existence of fate and destiny.

Life would've been a lot simpler without all of this.
