I like anniversaries. They make life seem almost normal these days. I can be at the beck and call of a god, but he can't take away the few precious things in my life. Today was one of the most important anniversaries of my life and one I had sworn never to forget. Even the trickster left me alone.

I bought flowers from the florist. They were tulips of several different colors, flowers that I knew the recipients loved. They grew them in their garden and the many colors of the tulips were always their pride and joy.

Walking alone to the cemetery as I always did on this day, I held the tulips close to my heart. When I finally laid them on the graves of my parents, my throat choked up and I could barely say, "I miss you" before tears ran down my cheeks. They had died in a car accident several years ago on this day and before their grave, my grief was as strong as it was that day many years ago.

I've never really been good at introducing myself, but I'd try my best. I bet my asshole cousin would do a better job of introducing himself seeing as he's an egotistical politician who can't help but constantly talk about himself. Of course, he wouldn't be here if he could help it seeing as he's for "family values" and all that conservative bullshit. Or at least he gives a good appearance of it. There's that daredevil side to him where he thinks he can do whatever he wants and gets away with it, but I digress. I'm supposed to be introducing myself and not Richard.

So, my name is Benjamin Harris and I'm a pretty normal guy. You can call me Ben, if you want. I have an awesome girlfriend named Maria and I suspect she's far smarter than I. What else is important? Well, I have a bachelor's degree in Business. I actually wanted one in English, but since my uncle paid for my education and wanted me to work for him to pay him back, so a Business degree it was. A crap deal, but when your parents die in a car crash while you're a college freshman, it's hard and you take what you can

Oh yeah, there's also this business of a trickster type god thing deciding that I was to work for him. Now that is the only really weird part of my life. I suppose you'll get to learn exactly how weird in time. I am not much in the mood to really go into it right now since it involves shapeshifting and not in the sense that I can shapeshift to other animals.
